The Finished Work of Jesus Part 1b

In Genesis 3:15 told the first prophecy of Jesus "I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and between her seed; it shall bruise thy head and thou shall bruise his heel.” This is referencing to Jesus coming and breaking the hold that satan gained through the sin that broke the direct connection with man and God, to redeem us back to our right place with God. The Old Testament then goes on to talk about the destruction of earth through a flood and God makes a promise to man that he will never destroy the earth again by flood and the symbol of this convent is the rainbow(Gen 9:11-14). A few chapters later on in Genesis a man named Abram is introduced and God calls him apart from his people and his family God chooses this man to produce the Lineage that would bring forth the Christ our Messiah, the redeemer His Son. God separated him and Blessed and told him 12:2,3 “I will make thee a great nation, and I will bless thee and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: (3) and I will bless them that bless thee and curse them that curse thee: and in thee all the nations of the earth shall be blessed.” Here is the famous blessing of Abraham where in the Jew's of the New Testament had sense of entitlement because they were children of Abraham.

God separated Abram from his family so He could get Abram out of the current systems he operated in, also Abram and his family worshipped the moon, God need to renew Abraham’s mind so he would be prepared for the grand task set before him. God needed Abram to teach his children all of His ways, what all God expected from them and what all was available to them and pass it on from generation to generation. God needed this done with no one influencing from the outside, He needed Abram, to know that He was El Shaddai- The God Almighty, Yahweh Yireh- The LORD will provide, Elohim- God mighty  creator, and El Elyon- God Most High to name a few. Abram also had to know the importance of his life, his seed and to show him how along with The Blessing that was about to be released on him and with that Blessing he would be a part of events that would alter the history of the world. For this he was called alone to God to learn from Him.

From Abraham to Moses who delivered the children of Israel out of Egypt’s slavery into the borders of the promise land gave them The Law that Israel must live in accordance of, the same Perfect and Righteous law that was provided to us to live by was also to show us how unholy we are because we could not live up to the standard set by God. When Moses delivered the Law to the children of Israel and they agreed to them shortly thereafter God told Moses to prepare burnt offerings; He knew that man could not keep the full Law in its entirety because the law is not to make us righteous it was to show us how no matter how much efforts we put forth we are unrighteous in and of our own acts and show us the great need for a savior to deliver us and make us righteous not based on what we have done but based on what He has done for us. Thus allow us to be righteous. Righteousness can never be achieved without Christ but the Bible calls us to be Holy. Holy by definition means: properly, whole, entire or perfect, in a moral sense. Hence, pure in heart, temper or dispositions; free from sin and sinful affections. So we see that holiness has to do with our character and moral. Righteousness on the other hand has to deal with our right standing with God that is only available through Christ.

1Co 1:30  But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Rom 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe:

2Co 5:21  For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

Moses gave the children of Israel the Law of God and they said all that the LORD said we will do, and be obedient, in the following days after Moses gave the Law that was agreed upon by the congregation of people many turned their backs on the Law formed a golden calf worshiped it sinned against the Law. Moses who is up in the mountain communing with God comes back unto the people, and those who sinned and chose to stay in their sin where killed by the levities those who were not killed where stricken by an angel, because they trespassed against the Law. Before this point Israel was under grace when the wined and complained and sinned against God and Moses but God had compassion, after the Law was passed and they accepted it they were punished based on their works. This is because the law and grace cannot co-exist, before the law the children of Israel was under God’s grace but after the law was instituted they were under law. When we become a born again believer we our saved by Grace through Faith and are no longer under law but under grace once again.

Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Rom 5:13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Rom 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
Rom 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
Rom 5:16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.
Rom 5:17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.

The Law shows us our faults and failures and punishes for the lack of obedience. The Law also states that if we do this and this I will bless you and if you don't do this and this I will curse you (Deuteronomy 28). The Law is based on our works deeds and the way we live, no man could ever completely keep the Law that is why God implemented priest for atonements and sacrifices for our sins.

1 Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
1 Co 15:57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Before the children of Israel received the law all they did was wine and complain to Moses about their status, hunger, thirst, and sickness. But as soon as they received the Law thou shall not, they began doing things they never did before things that broke the Law. God's design is not for us to keep the Law 100%, His plan is to replace the Law with Jesus, and we must walk as Jesus walked and follow as His Spirit leads us.

1Ti 1:9  Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
1Ti 1:10  For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
1Ti 1:11  According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

Rom 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The only man to completely keep the Law was Jesus and the states that if we break one law we broke them all so that made the Old Testament believers sinful in the eyes of God.

From that point after the Old Testament shows the lives, trials, triumphs and failures of many God fearing men like Samuel where the Bible says every word he spoke God honored, David which was a man after God's heart, Daniel who was the first to have a glimpse of the future and to see the ending of time before Jesus returns, great prophets like is Isaiah, Jeremiah, wise men like Solomon and strong men like Samson. The Old Testament also teaches us the ways of God how He responses to people, to sin, to obedience, trust and loyalty. Not to remove the law or to disregard it altogether because the law is Perfect, Righteous, and Holy it’s just that man can not keep the law and fall short and fall to his sinful nature this happen continuously throughout The Old Testament so God provided another means by which we can be made Perfect, Righteous and Holy that does not rely on what we do, or how we act hour to hour or our works. God provided a perfect sacrifice in the form of Jesus to erase our sins all together not just cover them up, and bless us not based on what we deserve but based on who we are in Him (Jesus) and now instead of being sin conscience all the time due to a difficult law we are now Christ Jesus conscience based on what He has done for us Thank you God for your Love, Grace and Mercy.

The Finished Work of Jesus Part 1a

The Old Testament and The New Testament combined make all together The Holy Bible. The Holy Bible is the unadulterated word of God from Genesis to Revelation some people believe that only the New Testament is relevant others only the Old Testament, what I'm going to try to do explain the purpose of both the New & Old Testament then reveal to you what Jesus has done for us and the reason why.

The Old Testament records early earth or the beginning it speaks of how God created the earth and walked with man daily, how God and man communed in the cool of the evening face to face. God with all his GLORY and man made in His image talking spending time together the way God originally intended it to be, before the original sin. The original sin or the first sin known also as the fall of man was initiated first by the lust of the eyes. The Bible states in Genesis 3:6 the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit and did eat… She desired what she coveted with her eyes, hence the original or first sin lust, in this case lust of the eyes.

Jesus states in the book of Matthew:
Mat 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
Mat 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

The principle can be applied here who knows how long Eve was in the garden and did not even think about that tree, it was not until after she saw, was tempted and recognized the tree was pleasant to the eyes and one to be desired that she made moves toward getting what she yearned for. This is the sin factor that broke our connection with God the day we died and God took man out of the garden and the curse was instituted. In Genesis 2:17 God tells Adam "thou shall not eat of it (the tree of knowledge of good and evil): for in the day that thou eatest therefore thou shalt surely die." Most people usually miss what God actual meant when he spoke of death here, even Adam & Eve didn't get it.

Gen 3:1  Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?
Gen 3:2  And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
Gen 3:3  But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

Eve didn’t even get the right message from God she states that they cannot touch or eat of the tree lest they die. When God clearly stated:

Gen 2:17  But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

satan is the author of confusion and if he can get you to second guess yourself he can get you to doubt and if he can get you to doubt, he can get you to operate outside of Faith.
And “without faith it is impossible to please him,” Heb 11:6. No Faith or lack thereof is a lack of Spirit strength, and when our Spirit strengthen is low our God awareness is off point or nonexistent which leaves room for our soul to function which is the mind, will and emotion and that is where satan operates from our natural reasoning. Because Eve didn’t completely understand God’s command satan was able to infiltrate his plan and Eve was deceived. The death God spoke of was not of the flesh, meaning your body would die even though the curse also brought death through mortality. God spoke of a spiritual death, God communicates to us through His Spirit to our Spirit when man died that day the spirit man died. I will explain, when we were created the whole man had a Body (made from dirt), Soul (composed of mind will and emotions) and the spirit that came into man by God blowing His breathe into Adam, which combined with man’s body and man became a living soul.

Gen 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground [Body], and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life [Spirit]; and man became a living soul.

When the forbidden fruit was eaten the spirit man which God personally blew life into Adam’s body his direct connection to God died, in other words the connection was lost and man was now functioning on just the Body (his flesh) and free will (mind will and emotions), because his Spirit man was now dead(hence the reason for us to be born again).

Most people think that God kicked Adam and Eve out of the garden as a punishment but not so remember God is love:

1Jn 4:7  Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
1Jn 4:8  He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

So in every situation you are faced with in life remember God is love and whatever happens to us remember God is Love and it always has love tied anything God does. In John 17 when Jesus said His final prayer among the disciples before Judas betrayed Him, He began to close His prayer by saying:

Joh 17:23  I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

Jesus says here that God The Father loves us with the same Love that He loves Jesus isn’t that powerful, we have the same love towards us as Jesus had so we should know that God is always finding ways to empower and elevate us but we must be open to Him as be a part of His family. With that said not everything that transpires God is responsible for because sometimes He does not prevent certain things from happen, that are our responsibility to change, fix, prevent, or reduce as Stewarts of the world He has entrusted us with. But KNOW this His actions(things that He is responsible for) towards His Family are always motivated by Love. Adam and Eve where removed from the garden because God wanted to protect them from eating from the tree of life that would allow man to live forever in his sinful state, never to be redeemed.
